WiseEuropa, within its Energy, Climate and Environment Programme, explores socio-economic impacts of low-carbon transition and develops quantitative assessment tools supporting climate action. Our expertise includes both bottom-up, sectoral analysis (e.g. energy efficiency in buildings, distributed energy generation, transport) as well as system-level studies (e.g. macroeconomic modelling, energy mix and GHG emissions forecasts for the whole economy).

Low Emission Poland 2050 project (www.np2050.pl/en), which provides broad perspective on long-term potential for climate action in Poland is example of WiseEuropa research toolkit. We have been cooperating with a broad range of stakeholders, including local and national authorities, private sector, international organizations such as the World Bank and the European Commission. WiseEuropa participates in research projects within the 7th Framework Programme and Horizon 2020.
