In the Polish interests. How to use EU’s energy and climate Policies as a way of supporting Poland’s development to 2030?, is the latest report published as part of the Low Emissions Poland 2050 project, financed by a grant from the European Climate Foundation.
The authors, Maciej Bukowski (Warsaw Institute for Economic Studies) and Zbigniew Karaczun (Institute for Sustainable Development), attempt to analyze how the goals for 2030 that the European Commission’s proposed, should be implemented in Poland, so that they would constitute a positive impulse for economic growth and their implementation fit the economic realities of the country. The latest report contains an insightful analysis of current political, economic and social situation in the country. It also presents a strategic outline of changes necessary to adjust to new political conditions and fully transform the Polish economy, in a manner the report’s authors call “a low emission transformation”.
