After the referendum in the UK, Europe will no longer be the same

The British referendum on remaining in the EU is currently underway. Two opinion polls published on Wednesday report that prevailing are the supporters of UK’s exit from the EU.

Maciej Bukowski, the President of WiseEuropa, reminded that in the last election to British Parliament opinion poll agencies were very mistaken.

‘They underestimated the support for Conservatives, which would indicate that Euro-sceptic votes may have not been counted properly. Emotions play a role here. It is not a pragmatic, substantive choice. From the opinion polls we know that the older the person is, the more likely that he or she will vote for Brexit, and the younger, the more likely that he or she will be a supporter of remaining in the EU, and also that the issue determining the choice is British identity, fear, aversion to immigrants, and especially the recent ones from Eastern Europe and Poland’ said Maciej Bukowski.
